Ramu Nickel Mine: Ocean dumping mine source of controversy

The controversial Ramu Nickel mine is set to be funded by a Chinese government owned steel company keen to secure resources to fuel steel production back in China. But the negative impacts and costs of the mine to economic, environmental and social values in PNG has sparked controversy and concern from diverse groups including the PNG National Fisheries Authority.    more»
